Antenatal Pilates

Pregnancy is an incredible time in a woman’s life and it is also a time of physical change. Antenatal Pilates has been designed to help you to:
Improve your posture
Strengthen your pelvic floor
Stretch and reduce tension in the changing body
Prevent lower back pain and pelvic girdle pain (PGP)
Learn breathing and movement patterns to help with labour and delivery
Relieve stress

The class is also a great place to meet other pregnant mums in the area and support each other throughout your pregnancy.
You can join the Antenatal class from 14 weeks into your pregnancy.

Postnatal Pilates

After birth, your body continues to change and it’s a crucial time for your body to recover from the pregnancy and birth. While you may be keen to start exercising immediately, it’s important to wait at least 6 weeks before joining a class.

Postnatal Pilates can help you to:
Improve your posture
Restore you pelvic floor and abdominal muscles
Stretch and reduce tightness around shoulders and back from breastfeeding and looking after your baby
Tone up after pregnancy
Recover from Diastasis Recti or prolapses (if any)
Relieve stress

Babies are welcome to join in the class with you. The class is also a great place to meet another new mums, sharing tips and stories about your new lives and supporting each other.

You can join the Postnatal class from 6 weeks postpartum, 10 weeks from caesarean and 12 weeks from emergency caesarean.
