My introduction to pilates began during my training as a professional dancer.  Initially a means to an end - to improve performance and prevent injury - I began to enjoy pilates for its own sake, becoming fascinated with the process of learning a healthier, more efficient way of moving.

After a brief career as a dancer I decided to retrain and pursue my interest in bodywork. Training first as a sports massage therapist in 2005, I then qualified as a pilates teacher.

My teaching is centred on the belief that better posture is not necessarily the result of an increase in strength. Muscular strength plays a part and should not be overlooked, however by learning to use our bodies with skill, thought and economy, we can begin to develop a deeper understanding of healthy, balanced alignment.

I am running two Monday evening classes & two Saturday morning classes.  These are bookable in blocks of 5 or 6 weekly sessions, payable in advance.
