Madeleine Honor (aka Samaadhi Kaur)
From the very first time I experienced a sound bath I just knew that it was something so profound and healing that I had to find a way to share it with people. The gong’s complex yet soothing multi-layered sound affects the body/mind in an immediate and powerful way, relaxing the entire body and clearing the psyche allowing us to enter a state of deep meditation and healing. Afterwards we feel more connected to ourselves and awake to the present moment.
I am passionate about the healing power of sound and during these sessions I incorporate a mixture of gong, voice and other subtle instrumentation to take you on a personal transformative journey. They take twice a month on a Sunday, closest to the full and new moon. We’ll prepare with a few light stretches and pranayams (breathing exercises) but apart from that all you need do is lie back and relax and let the sound do its work.
My background includes years as a performer and running drama and singing workshops with groups of women, children and refugees. I’m a trained Kundalini Yoga teacher and a certified gong teacher. I’ve also trained as a Theta Healer, Reiki 1&2, and in shamanic journeying. I currently work at Blackheath Conservatoire teaching music to early years and parents.

“The Gong is the spirit song. It is the primal whisper of the soul. It's sounds is the echo of the Original Word that created the world, the sound within all sounds. Listen with outer and inner ears. Feel its pulsations and let the millions of vibrations dance and flow through your senses. You will become fearless, relaxed and awakened.”
