Mindful Motherhood


Mindful Motherhood is an 8 week programme that teaches you mindfulness practices during pregnancy and early motherhood for staying balanced, healthy, and connected with your baby, even in difficult moments.

You will establish tools and practices that will enhance and support your relationship with your baby and enable you to consciously care for yourself at the same time. It is an excellent way to prepare yourself for all the challenges and joys that come with becoming a mum.

The course is run weekly over 8 weeks. Each session is a relaxing and nurturing 1.5 hrs.

Sessions include movement, meditation, learning and reflective discussion.

New mums, this course is for you and your babies, so please bring them along!

Spaces are limited to 8 per session, so you get plenty of time and space to explore the content of the course, in a safe, non-judgemental space, with faces which will become more familiar from week to week.

How will it benefit me and my baby?

The content of this course will help you meet the challenges of pregnancy, childbirth and your baby's first year with greater flexibility, open eyes and an open heart

It will help you:

  • Reduce pregnancy and post natal mood disturbance
  • Increase positive affect and regulate your emotions
  • enhance healthy bonding and attachment with your baby
  • Enhance parenting and relationship skills
  • Encourage self-care and wellbeing.

What can I expect in a session?

Each session begins with Mindful Movement which compromises of a very gentle and achievable sequence of movements. The purpose is not to challenge yourself physically, but to bring about a connection of body and mind.

Each week we will explore, discuss and practice a new aspect of mindfulness and methods in which these can be realistically incorporated into your day to day life.

There will be time in each session for reflective discussion on the challenges that are arising for you. During a Mindful Motherhood session, everyone’s experience is held in a space of validation and respect and so we strongly discourage any cross talk or advice giving, including from ourselves. In this way, you have the space to speak authentically and without fear of judgement.

You will have time to really relax during guided meditation practices. We work as a pair to ensure that there is always someone to play with and soothe your baby, as you take time to cultivate your mindfulness skills and relax.

Each session is followed with an email including key points and quotes from the session and guided meditation practices for the week.

Sessions are in the morning from 11am to 12:30pm.

The cost for the full two month course is £140 

This includes all materials, weekly content emails and weekly guided meditations and relaxation mp3’s for your home practice.

The Mindful Motherhood is run by Bronwyn Silva. Bronwyn is an integrative CBT therapist, mindfulness teacher and mum to a busy, bright toddler. She loves everything about birth and babies and wants to be there to support you in any way she can.
